William O. Nkanu is a Professor of Library and Information Science. He acquired qualifications of Ph.D, MLS, B.Sc (Ed), NCE from University of Uyo. He is a Certified Librarian by Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria. Prof. Nkanu has taught and practice Librarianship for years. He had served as University Librarian of Cross River University of Technology, Calabar. A member of several Committees and Associations within and outside the university system. Resource person in training workshops in academic and allied social programmes, book reviewer, editor in national and international learned journals and textbooks. Prof. Nkanu has served as external assessor, examiner and supervisor to undergraduate and graduate students in Nigerian Universities and Colleges of Education. He is a member of several learned societies such as Nigerian Library Association, National Association of Library and Information Science Educators among others. He is well published having authored and co-authored numerous academic publications in areas of his studies. He is currently a library Consultant, Editorial Manager of Walkiya Publishers Ltd. and former Chairman of Nigerian Library Association, Cross River State Chapter.
